Meet Shira
Clinical wisdom.
Human warmth.
I’m a Registered Nurse with 35 years of experience across emergency, intensive, surgical, and recovery care. I built this practice because nobody should feel like a stranger inside their own healthcare.

Where it started
A wall I knew we could take down.
I began in the emergency department of a 50-bed rural hospital in Greensboro, Alabama. Patients came in frightened and often unsure how to describe what hurt. The clinicians knew the language. The patients knew their bodies. Too often, nobody had enough time to connect the two.
That gap stayed with me through 25 years at DCH Health System and every ER, ICU, operating room, and recovery room after it.
My work is simple at its heart: I stay, I listen, and I make sure you understand.
